The idea for a super-fast, ADVERTISEMENT-FREE online cannabis (marijuana) resource started in January of 2006. After figuring out what type of site we were going to have, content wise (forums, news, gallery, strain guide, etc), we had to decide on a name. CannabisHQ.com recieved the most votes amongst us. It fit the goal and purpose of the site perfectly - to be the online headquarters for all things cannabis. Our goal is to unite the worldwide cannabis community and help faciliate the spread of knowledge and truth about this wonderful plant as well as to promote harm reduction and a scientific and logical approach to the wider drug issue at hand.
The worldwide cannabis community is incredilby diverse. Nothing can be said to be true of all cannabis smokers (except that we all appreciate the fine herb!) Some of us really enjoying growing our own cannabis, (for a variety of reasons) so we made an entire categorey of forums for cultivation where growers and beginners can discuss all aspects of cannabis cultivation such as growing indoors, outdoors, organically, or hydroponically.
Many people in the community use cannabis out of medical necessity. It is important to help inform these patients which strains are the best for particular problems and to help other people get the medicine they need and all of the information about it. So we have setup a medical cannabis forum as well as the strain guide where one can search for medicinal strains or names of specific strains, cannabis speicies, grow environments, flowering times, flavors, aromas, origins, background, high types, and more!
But that still does not include everyone in the worldwide cannabis community. So we needed to add a forum for cannabis activists, and those seeking information on how to support the movements for legalization, decriminilization & medical cannabis in all parts of the world. Here we discuss news and events regarding the movement.
Some people cannot smoke marijuana (or choose not to) so we made a cannabis cookbook forum, for recipes on how to make cannaibs edibles and drinks! There are many other forums in our community (cannabis news, hemp, CHQ lounge, off topic, paraphernalia, etc) so stop by, check it out and if it looks like something you would like to be a part of register and join us!
