I've had pipes, a little cig looking one hitter, bubbler, and I got my first bong today. . Tried a friends vaporizer once, it was cheap, it tasted bad. Love bongs. Pipes are the next best. That little ciggy thing though. >.< Had a stoner moment and filled it up with rubbing alcohol and salt. Tried to clean it with a qtip. Got it stuck. Decided maybe I could burn it out. Lit my hand on fire. Put it out. Threw it away. Those things are not stoner friendly. I'd say that would be my dumbest stoner moment. But yeah, in that order. Bongs, Pipes/bubblers, vaporizer, stupid ciggy thing.

Unless I intentionally light it. What I REALLY wanna do is get one of those big watering jugs, spalsh some rubbing alcohol inside, pour it out, light the fumes. IT"S COOL! Yes this is why it's bad to have the discovery science center come to the elementary school for an on sight feild trip. HEHE

Ok so ive been working on my  collection for awhile and its getting there. I have a steamroller with raised glass designs making it look like a beach with a turtle. Then i have a hammer bubbler, a glass chillum, a zepplin(or plug), a little stupid ciggy thing, sidecar glass piece,small plain glass piece, mini bong, 1ft zong, two hose hooka, metal pipe, metal pipe shaped like a mushroom. I think thats everything. pics soon. peace

well-i highly doubt that the glass type makes a difference...but my "collection'' is a box of swisher sweets in a humidor..

Good to see most everyone uses some type of glass pipe. After reading about how most metals are toxic, glass or papers have been my preferred way to inhale smoke. You still see metal pipes being sold... I guess the FDA really doesn't care much about stoner's health issues...lol. ...Aluminum leaches very easily, just put some pasta sauce in an aluminum pan overnight and look at the pan after you rinse it. It's so clean! Where do you thin dirty that layer of aluminum is now? Copper is very toxic and will do the same thing. Brass is mostly copper... No doubt you may have heard of heavy metal poisoning, (not the music kind) It's usually lead or mercury because they are very soft and can easily enter the bloodstream. Used as a smoking apparatus these metals can vaporize ever so slightly and enter the lungs. Prolonged use could be dangerous so stick with glass because it is inert. Also it looks better... even when dirty

Oh, and have you ever heard the expression "mad as a hatter" ? It is based on truth and heavy metal poisoning.  Is the old days a hatter (a person who makes hats) would use mercury when forming the hat's shape as the specific gravity and malleability made it faster and easier to make felt hats. After a time the hatter would really go mad. Heat really wasn't involved either. So heat up some metal and inhale it a few times a day and see it affects you the same way. Or NOT

i read somewhere that aluminum is linked to alzheimers-so i try to steer clear of cans and tin foil..but i had a nice little glass pipe, my friend used it and broke it, at the moment i do have a blue/black swirl glass 'water pipe', but i broke the damn bowl and never used it anyways..

Most smokeshops have replacement bowls, just make sure you get the right size. I was lucky enough to find a replacement bowl that matched my bong better than the one it came with. It even has a couple nips to make it easier to handle.
