I grew White Widow this past year and found it to be mild flavored with a pleasant aroma, not too strong or harsh. I also grew Ice, which is a cross between White Widow and Skunk. It has a very skunky taste and aroma, which my friends seem to prefer. Personally, I perfer the Widow.

does it smell while its growing?
Sorry, replied to your post before finishing my morning coffee!
There are several different strains of White Widow. My seeds were from Female Seeds. It did have an odor but not exceptionally strong. The Ice, with it's Skunk genes, was very strong. You could smell it as soon as you opened the back door, which is about 70 feet from where the plant was. But I live on 17 acres in a rural area so odor isn't an issue here.

Personally I haven't grown any that didn't have a pretty distinct odor. Given the number of people here and the variety of strains that have been grown I'm sure someone will have some suggestions for you.

Here's a link to some seeds that are supposed to be low odor.

A fairly old post but I'll add my experience with WW to the stink list. The WW I got from Nirvana was about a 5 out of 10 for "odour strength", not bad at all. Killer buzz too. Funny thing about smokin it was this...if I cut it up with scissors, it seemed to be "clumpy" and did not burn evenly. but, when I gave it a couple shakes in the coffee grinder, it burned beautifully. I suppose the grinder fluffed it up. (and yes it was dry. It cured for bout 6 weeks)
