Thank you for this wonderful thread, definitely the best on the net.

Just want to improve this even further and make a correction:
The below strains (Frost Wreck, Cheese Wreck,Purple Wreck ) are not autoflowering strains.
They are regular strains that are promoted at the top of the autoflowering strains page. This is what apparently caused the confusion.

Thanks for kind words.  You're right, on second look it is a little confusing.  I just sent them an email asking them to clarify.

I heard back from Goldenseed and those are not autoflowering.  I've deleted that post so there's no more confusion.  They did mention that they are working on an auto Purple-Wreck strain but no info on when it will be available.

Wouldn't surprise me if someone wasn't working on one.  Lots of breeding going on with LRs.

Little off subject, but I just harvested 60 Lowryder seeds the other day.

I have searched, but cannot find an answer as to how soon could you plant them.

Do they need to "cure" or are they ready to plant now.

Do they need to go in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

I'm not 100% sure on this one.  I do know they should be thorough dry.  I would think that keeping them in a cool, dry place, not the refrigerator, for a couple weeks should be good enough.  Plant a couple and in 3-4 days you should know if they are good to go.  Maybe someone else will have some more info for you.

Non~auto flowering plants begin flowering when light conditions are right - A 12 hour light 12 hour dark light cycle will trigger flowering indoors and will happen naturally outdoors in early fall.

An Auto~flowering plant will flower by itself w/o regard to a light cycle. They start flowering by themselves at about 3-5 weeks. You don't have to rely on the fall season when planting them outdoors.

I didn't see Holland's Hope on the list and they also have a feminized version of it , also I didn't see THC BOMB. Their isn't a feminized version of the THC BOMB yet , its suppose to be a new strain. Thats what the website that sells it says anyway.

Are they auto flowering?  What web site did you see them on?  Just the name of the site, not an active link please.

New strains are coming out all the time.  Lots of effort is being put into developing LR strains.  Seems that every time I check I find 3-4 new ones.

Lowrider hybrids are Imho going to set the pot world on fire. First and foremost they're auto flowering, wow, saves much time and you can have continuous harvests all year long.  Perfect, they grow real short, This will allow anyone to grow natures gift, got closet will grow. Lastly, the explosion on the Lowrider hybrid scene is amazing, new strains coming out all the time, allowing anybody to grow a plant to their liking or need.

I agree completely.  This is my second year growing them and I'm learning a lot.  By the time this season is over I will have grown 8 strains over the two years.  I'm keeping records of my grows and hope to post a complete summary at the end of the season.

Ya the post I did with the Hollands Hope and THC BOMB aren't autoflowering sorry for posting that in this thread. I have a question though , I have been looking into LR strains that autoflower but the yields seem a lot lower then the nonautoflower strains is this a true with this or am I not grasping the bigger picture? Is this because the plant doesn't die and just keep producing over the year to make up for the yield difference , just trying to understand more. Thanks for all the help guys.  Smiley

Auto flowering plants grow start to finish in about 10 weeks while full size plants, grown outdoors, take the full growing season.  Auto flowering plants automatically start to flower after about 4-5 weeks and are not dependent on the length of daylight to start flowering like full size plants.  They only get about 1 1/2 to 2' tall compared to 7-8' or taller for full size plants, thus the difference in yields.  Since they are so much smaller they are easier to hide.  They don't keep producing the whole season.  They produce once, then die off.   If you have the room to grow full size plants, and don't have to worry about the large plants being noticed, then you will certainly get get much larger yields.

Thanks for the info Muddy! When I was planing and still planing lol this grow for the year I was looking for higher yields and hardier plants because I live in a APT and don't have private land where I'm at so I just figured I would try to go fewer plants with higher yields because I only have access to a smaller sunnier spot of land near me. But now I have talked to a person that has been growing swag weed for 20+ years and told the person about all the strains and variety this forum has introduced me to (thank you thank you )  and he said I can grow on there's if its a 50/50  spilt of yield (the person smokes a lot, also is looking for a years worth for themselves) so next year I 'm going to be going with many LR strains as well that autoflower for all their perks you pointed out. Thanks again for the info and help!!!  Smiley

You are welcome.  I'm trying to learn as much as I can about LRs.  I really want to become an expert on them so I'm tracking everything very closely and paying attention to what they do and when.  I've pollinated the bottom branches of my Diesel Ryders and Hindu Kush and saw yesterday that I've got seed pods, so it looks like I'll have my own seeds for next year.  I am finding that between non germinating seeds and males, you need to plant a lot of seeds.  So far, out of 21 seed I only have 5 females.  I've got 7 White Russians that are 2 weeks old, 15 more to start and will probably buy another 15 or 20.  So by the years end I'll have planted close to 60 LR seeds of 8 different strains.  That should give me good knowledge going into next year.

That split with the other guy sounds like it could work out good.  Given a better growing spot you should get a higher yield and may end up with more for yourself even after splitting it with him.  Plus if he's been growing for 20 years he probably knows what he's doing.

Wow,  Muddy sounds like you right on your way to being a expert already .  Ya I think the new grow spot will be better also , but the person doesn't know  anything besides watering so I have to get the info about everything else on the web lol then teach it. I think it seems like it will be my new personally hobby  in the long run. Oh, and it sounds like I better order more seeds was planing on it but wanted to confirm my first order gets to me before I ordered more didn't want to throw all the eggs in the basket yet.  but people on this site seem to have good experience with marijuana-seeds.nl so I'm hoping its a good site.

Someone, don't remember who at the moment, just ordered from marijuana-seeds.nl in the past couple weeks and got their order quickly and without issue.  Another thing I've learned that you might want to consider.  The advertised grow length advertised for LRs of 9-10 weeks doesn't necessarily seem to apply to outdoor grows.  Last year my plants were 15 weeks old when the cops pulled them and probably needed another week for optimum harvest.  My Diesel Ryders are at 10 weeks right now and still need another couple weeks.  So I'm figuring I need to start my last batch by the middle of July in order to harvest them before the first frost.  I might be able to go to the end of July but that would be pushing it.  You're a lot farther north than me, so make sure you get them started in time.

A hobby is kind of how I look at it also.  One that's fun, saves me money, and produces far better smoke than I can buy around here.
