what age do you think is appropriate for a person to smoke pot at? like where is the line? do you think there is one?
i'd say maybe 16-18 would be alright. i started at 14 and have had no problems because of it and i know people who've smoked as early as 11, 12, 13. but i think you need to at least be in high school... i don't know. it's not that easy to draw the line...
like for the parents on here what age would you let your child(ren) smoke? would you let them? (those of us without children can answer this question hypothetically).
i think if my child was 10 and i caught him/her smoking i would be very upset and wouldn't let them, but 15 or 16 i don't think i'd mind anywhere as much.

^ funny you say that, i was gonna write that but i was lazy and didn't. but i was gonna say as long as my son/daughter's grades were good and they weren't having any problems it would be alright.

Hi All, I started when I was 16, I've been smoking for well over 30 years and I managed to acquire a couple of degree qualifications. Heh, I don't smoke when I need to concentrate s'all and usually not before a gig! My IQ has gone UP over the years.  lol |

I started when I was 15. I'd have to say junior high or high school. I know kids that started tokin when they were in elementary school! My friend got high in the third grade cause his older brother made him do it, now isn't that a little messed up...

I would say 17 or 18. I started at 19 and thinking back, I'm not sure I would have been ready any earlier. I started drinking at 17 and I sure wasn't ready for that. I've been smoking for allmost 40 years and my IQ has also gone up. Not sure if it's smoke related or just years of life experience.

yeah.. in third grade i didn't even know what pot was...i was just finding out about music and stuff, i was 8 or 9 in third grade, that's WAY too young IMO. |

I started smoking when I was 14... so I'd say, anything younger than 13-14 is too soon to start smoking and drinking and stuff

I think that if u understand why ur smoking ur okay. If ur doing it to fit in then I don't recommend it. There is so much more to weed than just getting high. Wish more people knew that. I don't think kids under 18 should b smoking. It takes a certain amount of maturity and life experience to be able to smoke and remain in control.

I started smoking when I was14 by the time I was 16 I had already fryed on my first hit of acid...I think if I would have started any later I would now at my age being doing what I have already done and learned from and twenty something female with drugs and sex on the brain is sooo unattractive...

Shit when I was in third grade, there was a penguin coming in telling me drugs were bad. I probably would have never known about drugs if it werent for him. But retrospect, I kind of want to go back to my elementary school and see if they are still spreading the propagandic (is this a word?) filth around... |

I was raised around pot....I remember D.A.R.E. being such a scary thing for me..because before D.A.R.E.I knew that my parents smoked pot...but no one told me it was bad...and I remember the officer talking about people that smoked pot as bad people...I was freaked out..I didnt know who to believe....it was hard..to trust anyone. But I didnt know..about "drugs" before D.A.R.E. after...D.A.R.E. I was damn curious....I think...if your too young to know the consequences of doing anything illegal..then you shouldnt be smoking pot.
