I started germinating my seeds last night using the paper towel method. I put the paper towels in zip-loc bags and put them in a drawer. I started 4 Ice, 3 Super Silver Haze, and 3 Mazar x Afghan seeds. Woke up this morning, and being as impatient as I am, checked the seeds. All of my Ice has cracked, all of my SSH has cracked, and 2 of my MxA have cracked.

So begins my first grow. I couldn't wait any longer to start everything. lol.

Good job.  Looks like you're off to a good start.

8 of my 10 seeds have germinated. Both of the ungerminated seeds are Super Silver Haze. I will try to germinate the only 2 SSH seeds I have left. I have one plant (Ice) that has started to grow its first set of leaves. I have a couple others that have popped out of the ground.

I am moving out of this apartment and onto my land in about a week. We moved all of my stuff out of my house today and some family is moving it for me. So now I am sitting in an empty house. All I have is my computer, some clothes, a little food, my gf and my dogs, and of course, my weed. Smiley

So it turns out my SSH ALL germinated! I planned on only having 3... and when 2 did not germinate, I tried 2 more... and all 4 ended up germinating, giving me 5 SSH all together. So I would say I am starting off well, considering I had 100% germination rate for all of my plants.

I just put the 4 new SSH plants in pots so they should pop out of the ground in the next couple of days.

As for the rest of the plants... they look great. I will post pics of all my plants, with 2 in each picture.

Looking good.  K+.  Remember to keep rotating them as they will lean toward the light.

Yes, once or twice a day is plenty.

Finally back!

So I made the move. Everything has been goin good and I am happy to be back. The only thing is that my dad was living with me for about a week, and my plants had to stay in a cooler so they haven't been growing at all the past week. Oh well I guess.

I have started working on my garden but out here the weeds run deep, and without a tractor its extremely hard work to get a garden started. I am still in the process of removing the weeds. If you have any suggestions on this, please let me know.

The tractor is a work in progress though, so hopefully it will be much easier soon.

Thanks

Glad you're back.  Figured you were moving.

I hear you on the weeds.  Without a plow to break up that turf and roots it's back breaking work.  I'm going to try something different for weed control this year.  I'm going to lay cardboard down between the rows.  I've used saw dust the past 3 years but it's making the soil too acid.  My friend used this method last year and it worked pretty well.  I've already gotten one pickup load of cardboard from the local appliance dealer.  Will probably need two more to do the whole garden.

Thanx Muddy!

Turns out the tractor is fixed... for now. lol so I have a box blade that I will try to use to get at least some of the weeds until I get ahold of a plow.

The lady that I can get horse shit from lives across the road from me so that is a really good thing considering I dont have a truck and will probably just use a wheel barrel. I know i will probably have to make like 300 trips back and forth. Oh I forgot to mention I bought some fence for my garden the other day. So as soon as I get my garden ready, I will put up the fence.

I have alot of boxes from moving, so that might be enough for my small garden. I might have to try that.

Does the box have scarifiers (teeth) on it?  If so, they will help break up some of the turf, although only the top couple inches.  Also, does the tractor have a bucket?  That would be a lot easier than using a wheel barrow to get the manure.  Also if the tractor has a bucket you can back drag the garden spot.  Get the blade of the bucket angled toward the back and then back up the tractor.  That would probably get deeper than the box would.

So it turns out, I have had a terrible grow. So the story goes:

I should have waited to start the plants because I have just been trying to hide them the whole time. They have been puny the way through. My dad was staying with me for a while, and that really ruined everything. My plants are basically dead. there is a little life left in a couple of them, but they are slowly dying. I finally have it where I feel like it is MY house, so I think I am ready now.

Here's the worst part, though:

I left my seeds in the apt. I was living in before the move... I know... jackass move on my part. I can't believe I did it either. I have been feeling down about the whole thing, which is why I havent been posting on here.

However, like I said earlier, I finally feel like this is my own house. My dad has moved out and its just me and the misses. I've got a new ray of hope. So, I am going to buy a feminized autoflowering plant(seed actually). I dont have much money right now, so I might just be able to afford like a 3 or 5 pack. But I need something to grow. So, now is where I ask what strain you recommend, and where to get it from.

Thanks everyone for the support I know I will get from all you stand-up guys in this forum.

one more thing...

If I ordered regular sized plant seeds right now, say I get them in a weed or two, would I still be able to get a decent crop this year or is it too late? The reason I ask is because regular sized plants are waaay cheaper then auto-flowering. Thanx
