Outdoor Diesel Ryder and Auto Hindu Kush Grow Report

So far, I can't complain.  Higher germination rate this year too, 17 out of 19.

The Hindu Kush should be very good.  I won't get as much off of them, they are only about half the size of the Diesel.  Instead of sending me the free Skunk Haze seeds they were advertising the guy at dope-seeds sent me 5 blueberry kush x diesel and 5 snow white auto seeds.  I've also got 10 each of AK47 x blueberry and white russian.  Probably going to start the blueberry kush this weekend or as soon as I can start putting the others outdoors.  I also bought 5 train wreck full size fems, 2 of which I traded to kydentman for 2 super lemon haze.  I dug 8 holes and since I didn't get the skunk haze seeds, kydentman also sent me another super lemon haze, a couple Arjan's ultra haze and a couple k train.  That gives me 10 strains this year.  I love smoking different strains of weed.

Here's how things are looking at week 3.  Had hoped to start putting them outdoors today but we're getting a cold snap.  Temps the next 2 days will only be around 40 so they will need to stay inside under the light for a couple more days.

Suffered a minor setback yesterday.  I put my plants outdoors for the first time and went to work.  While I was gone the wind came up and beat them around pretty good.  I've had a fan on them to strengthen the stems so none broke, just a couple bent over.  Brought them back indoors and under the light and they perked right back up.  Should be able to move them back outside tomorrow if it isn't windy.

Yes, any day now.  Just judging by size, I'd say 3 males DRs and 3 HK look like they could be males.

The weather has turned cool and rainy, so I'm kind of in a holding pattern at the moment.  Have move the Diesel Ryders and Hindu Kush to the window to make room for more plants under the light.  Supposed to start warming back up tomorrow, so I'll put them back outside then.  All are ready to transplant to the big pots and moved outside full time.

Started more seeds on Saturday.  Planted 4 auto blueberry kush x diesel (1 seed of the 5 was no good), and my full size plants, 3 Super Lemon Haze, 3 Train Wreck, 1 Arjan's Ultra Haze, 2 K Train and 1 Columbian Red Haze.  All have popped except 1 Train Wreck.  Will start a seperate grow report for those once they get a little bigger.

The last Train Wreck popped yesterday, so 100% germination on this batch.  Guess it just wanted to take it's time.  I've never smoked it but kydentman was here last weekend and he's smoked it.  He told me to be prepared to not be moving around much after I've smoked it.  May be very hard to do.     I always keep a box of Cheese-Its or some pretzels handy just for such instances.

Weather conditions are still working against me.  Rain again for the next 3 days.  We did have a couple nice days and I was able to leave my plants outdoors.  The Diesel Ryders have started to show their sex.  As of last night, two males are showing flowers and 1 or 2 more look to be males.  They are also ready to be transplanted to the larger pots.  Hindu Kush look to still be a couple days away from sexing.

Was able to finish sexing my plants last night and am extremely disappointed.  All 8 Hindu Kush are males and 8 of 9 Diesel Ryders are males.  I have one female Diesel Ryder and that's it.  I'm still struggling to make some sense out of what happened and here's what I've come up with.  I think that I started them about 2 weeks too early.  When the weather turned bad again and I couldn't put them outside I moved them to the window sill to make room under the light for the next batch.  I then put them back outside, even though conditions were less than optimum.  I think this may have stressed them to the point it caused them to go male.  I think if I had started them later and was able to move them directly outdoors they would have been fine.  I'd appreciate any feed back or other ideas as to what happened.  Sure want to avoid this in the future.

    thats disapointing to have so many sons.not like real life.plenty of seed stock.crappy deal from your seed man.prices the way they are.cant you just smoke the boys yourself?gotta knock the seeds out but mj is mj.i grew up on columbian etc.never seemed a problem until you noticed all your shirts had burn holes in them.what the hell,let em grow.sorry is better than none!      pastor

I've got enough to smoke without worrying about saving those males.  Since they are all low ryders they are pretty small and wouldn't yield that much anyway.  I've got my full size plants started, along with 4 more low ryders, and that one female diesel ryder should yield an ounce or so, so I've got plenty to last me until the fall.  Just sucks that I put all that work into them and will hardly get anything in return.
