When you click ctrl+alt+del and bring up task manager, how many iexplore.exe are running under processes? With one tab open n one window, i usually have 2  .exe running, one taking up twice as much memory as the other.they're both under my user name.Is that normal?

In your task manager under processes what you should see is one called iexplorer which is Internet Explorer, and one called explorer, which is a necessary windows process.

And what I would also recommend is to stop using Internet Explorer altogether.  I have used Firefox since it was release and love it.

If you have any more questions, I will definitely try and help.

I agree, switch to Firefox, it blows IE away.  Lots of plug in available which allow you to customize it to your liking.  I've been using it for about a year and love it.

LOL, why don't I believe that?

IE6 was okay but when I loaded IE7 I'd had enough.  I hated that the "back" button was all the way in the upper left corner.  I'm right handed with meant I had to move the mouse all the way across the screen all the time.  With FF3 and a plug in to allow customization of the tool bar, my back button is conveniently located on he right.  Speed dial is another nice plug in.  All your favorites, with thumbnails.  Two clicks of the mouse gets you anywhere you want to go.
