Hey guys. I am growing Grandaddy Purple this year and everything was great until about 3/4 of the way through budding. Plants/buds looked great then all the sudden my buds had little sprouts shooting off all over them. Now i got huge airy buds. Tried bud hardener a few weeks ago and have seen no change. Another guy i know said it was called dreadlocks but that was all he new. I tried to add a couple pics couldn't get em to load. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, let me know what caused this Shocked

These were grown out doors with direct sunlight all day and plenty of space between them. I grow in the same spot every year and have never had this problem. The weird part is that all the clones came from the same plant and and only 1 of them turned out normal with nice tight hard buds.

Just as guess but maybe a lack of phosphorous?  Since it's needed for bud growth maybe it would cause loose buds if it was lacking?  Buds were loose on my Arjan's Ultra Haze II this year while the Train Wreck and K Train that were 10' away were fine.  With all the rain I wasn't able to feed the liquid nutes so I know it didn't get enough phosphorous.

i think it's called fox tail's, or fox tailing..  useally it's caused by to much N in flower.. heat stress or light leaks or
just the genetic traits of the plant.. nothing to worry about,IMO.. check for light leaks and make sure ur bulb aint to close..

Both Nor-Cals and mine were grown outdoors so no light leaks or heat stress issues.  The Arjans I grew is supposed to be a big yielder, up to 1,000 grams outdoors, so I doubt it was genetics either.  I hardly got to feed them because of the rainy conditions this year.  I'm just chocking it up to a bad growing season in general because of the adverse conditions.
