Huh lows lights? 65w what?, invest 250 bucks into a good lighting system you can buy at any hydro shop or online... That's going to be the best investment in lights you'll ever make....trust me! look for metal halide or high pressure sodium.. M.H is great for veg. growth, and the H.P.S is great for budding... if you got the funds i would look into the switchable lighting setup, so you can switch out the bulbs. although I've grown really good buds with just a M.H setup from start to finish. or H.P.S. from start to finish.

If you need more help, just give a shout, where happy to help.  Wink

65watt florescent tubes? 2 feet? 4 feet? is that the only light you have?
just one tube? 2 tubes? or just a regular spot-grow bulb?

trying to get an idea of what you have to determine what you need? lowes sell like a 1000+ bulbs, try and be more specific, what you have now, whats your setup? 3 plants... auto or non-auto? strain? grow space dimensions.. stuff like that, all help's on determining lighting.

if im guessing right, its a 65w spot gro? Looks pear-shaped? Sylvania perhaps? If so, take it back and get your money on a debit card if you threw the receipt away, its lowes, theyll fucking take back anything. And then use that money on soil, buckets, and whatever for future use. Then go buy a real bulb, or buy some t5 fluoros at Lowes instead. What you have-again-if im right,is going to be waay to hot,and only focuses on small area, even with the cone ballast they screw into.I know it may seem different, but its not, most of the light is concentrated to about a 4"x4" spot. But again, even one warms up an entire closet after a couple hours..

gotta agree with DD, if its a spot grow then throw it out, just kicks way to much heat out.

Devil you are correct it's a 65 watt spot grow and I have 3 of them for 3 plants just some unknown dank seeds I had so far 4 sprouted and I'm growing in the spare bed room so heat is not an issue for me cause I have such a large area, but do yu think I should just get 1 bulb and grow all 3 off it and take the other ones back? Or maybie get a good bulb and put the spot grows in different angles for maximum light... I have 1 set of leaves and the other 2 just prouted that's were I am at

No, take them back...all of them. If you use those, you'll either burn your plants or they'll be like stretch armstrong..To get as close as you need with those lights WILL put off to much heat. If you've found a way to get those lights within 6-7 inches without burning your plants, then by all means do it, but if im right-you probably cant get the light within a ft. Remember to use the 'back of the hand' method to check for heat..

Check these out.  I've never bought lights but do buy my nutes from them.  At least on the nutes, their prices and shipping were the cheapest I could find.  http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/sungro-ss10-switchable-lights-c-322_326.html

check out gyosupplies, they're also on ebay and you may get one cheaper than off their site there.Around $145 for a electric ballast, and it comes with a MH and HPS bulb.400w.and the reflector..just type 400w hps in on ebay and find whichever is sold by gyosupplies..
