Hello,

I was going to send someone a personal message and I cannot see the code that needs to be entered.  I clicked on the area to "hear the letters" and still nothing.  Do I need a different level of membership? Can it be reset or something?  Please help.

Look near the top of the page, next to your avatar, where it says "Hey, Todane, you have X messages, X are new".  Click on that link and it will take you to your personal message page.  Look on the left side for "Messages" and click on "New Message."  That should open up a box that will allow you to send a personal message without having to enter a code.

to send PM's you need to have over 25 posts.  this is to deter people from joining only to send PM's looking for sources of illegal drugs.

I didn't know that.  Makes good sense.

Oh, cool.  Thank you.  I only use medical quality marijuana these days usually in tincture form and have all I will need for quite awhile and growing more as I type.  But, just curious, do people actually like mail drugs to each other?  Wouldn't that be exceedingly risky?  I mean not just in shipping it but in not knowing who the hell you’re talking to on the other end…seems stupid.  I made some hash that is so incredibly good that I do want to send some to one of my friends on the mainland but haven’t gotten comfortable with the various ideas I have had for shipping.  I wonder if anyone on this site has an idea that I have not thought of.  I don’t even like to carry it on the plane anymore.  It is OK going from island to island depending on who is working at the airport at the time.  I leave it in the vehicle, go and show them my card and ask permission, and if they say no worries, I go back to the car and get it.  Sometimes (I have heard but not tried myself) they are happy to let you go through if you have a spliff for them too.

There was a thread here last year about shipping.  http://www.cannabishq.com/forum/index.php/topic,4480.0.html.  Seems the general consensus was that UPS was the best way.  I was going to try it to send some to a friend but they started testing at his job so he stopped smoking.

I will check it out.  Still having concerns about it but we'll see.  It was suggested to be sure to use gloves when handling and change them before touching the the outside.  I guess if it is sealed up well enough dogs won't smell it but they smell oils that make their way to the outside of the package.

I have a vacuum sealer so I was going to double seal it with that.  Does UPS use dogs?  I thought they didn't.

Keep in mind that they now use xrays to look inside packages. You can thank the patriot act for that one.

From what I understand UPS doesn’t use dogs but the ports where their customers stuff is shipped through does, randomly somewhat.  Where I live it would go out of Honolulu and there is a strong possibility that dogs might be around.  As for the Patriot Act, I have mixed feelings about that.  I do like to feel safe and generally speaking I don’t have anything to hide so there you go.  I send seeds to people inside those lead type anchors that are used to hold things to cement.  My friend had the idea that even if it is x-rayed it will just look like a hunk of metal and the return address is always a business name that might ship that type of small component; I don’t want to mention the company name used because who knows whom might be lurking around here.  By-the-way, does anyone know if it is illegal to send seeds to people if you’re not selling them?  Seems like that should be okay.
